GLOBO TV is the most popular television network in Brazil. It covers the entire Brazilian territory and is also broadcast in satellite and cable channels around the world. On June 6, 2009, TV GLOBO aired a 5 minutes documentary about the Gems of the Earth project. The presenter, Serginho Groisman, is a famous late night showman. The video below presents the documentary with English sub-titles.
In this videoblog, JR, a visiting student, show his experience in his first night and second day in Tombadouro, one of the communities of the Gems of the Earth telecenter pilot project. He arrived in Tombadouro to participate in the II Annual Meeting of Gems of the Earth volunteers.
Marco writes "Ralph Heacock Junior, JR, a Drexel University graduate, is visiting with the Gems of the Earth pilot project. He arrived in Tombadouro, one of the communities of the pilot project, on September 1st, 2006, to participate in the II Annual Meeting of the Gems of the Earth Volunteers. JR is travelling around thr project and collecting his views on what is happening in the ground. Starting with this video, we are going to see a series of videoblogs of JR's experience in the Gems of the Earth project. All videoblogs are filmed and edited on location, using the communities' telecenters.
